How We Got Here...
Dennis Adams (‘the’ Denny) grew up working for his father,
Al, in the family construction business in Cottonwood,
California. He went out on his own and became a general
contractor in 1976. In 1987, he came to Ventura to change
direction and specialize in the electrical service industry.
He grew his business by going door to door, meeting
people and giving outstanding personal service.
In 1993, Denny’s sons James and Michael started working
in the business. By 1996, James became the manager
and in 2001, James and Michael purchased the business
from Denny, allowing him the opportunity to retire. At this
point, the company was doing all forms of electrical work:
commercial, residential and new construction service.
In 2004, James pursued a more specific market:
residential service, with a clear focus on the memorable
customer experience. This transition made 2005 a year
full of new and exciting challenges and opportunities as the
company reinvented itself. Michael branched off and
started his own electrical company, Infinity Electric,
focusing entirely on project work.
Over the years, customers frequently told James that it was
difficult to find contractors in other trades who provided the
same excellent service experience that they received from
Denny’s Electric. In response to their repeated inquiries,
in 2006, James assembled a team of skilled tradesmen -
Denny’s Home Services - offering home repairs (tile,
drywall, paint, carpentry) and plumbing, in addition to
electrical services.
In 2007, Cindy Adams became co-owner of Denny's
Electric and Home Services.
In November 2008, due to an economic slowdown of our
local economy, the home services division was
discontinued and former division manager, John Phillips,
opened his own company to take care of handyman and
remodelling customers

Many of our friends, family and

updates on Grant's military
adventures.
Grant completed Phase 1 and
Phase 2 of his training at Ft.
Sam Houston in May 2008 and
Ft. Bragg in October 2008. He
graduated at the top of his class
and received the honor of
Distinguished Honor Graduate.
Grant is now assigned to a
medical unit at Ft. Bragg, North
Carolina awaiting deployment in
May 2009.
